The People of Cazenovia Can’t be left in the dark

Travis Londo, the Vice President of the Cazenovia school board, was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare Of A Child who is under the age of 12. Additionally, he is facing Federal charges for possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material. As of the morning of Sunday, the 21st of June, 3 days after the arrest, the Cazenovia School District Administration has yet to offer any statement to the public directly, opting instead to give a boilerplate statement to the media, offering no explanation or services for the public.
It gets worse: The district has been posting on Facebook since the incident, but not one thing about what occurred. A statement was put out on ParentSquare that did nothing other than state that the board condemned the act and was upset by it. Nothing in the realm of accountability or resources from the school. Standard operating procedure for almost any district is to give at least a tentative explanation, apology for lack of due diligence, and offer counseling to those who may have been affected.
The soonest meeting/public forum for discussion of this injustice is not going to be held until mid July. Don’t let this be brushed aside. Use your voice to call for accountability.
